Tid: 2017-12-13 kl 09:00
Plats: Institutionen för Globala Studier, Campus Linné - C417, Konstepidemins väg 2

In the past years, Danish and Swedish governments have increased their efforts to remove rejected asylum-seekers from the territory, by expanding immigration detention and establishing departure centers (Denmark) or withdrawing welfare support (Sweden) for rejected individuals. Building on preliminary findings from ethnographic field work in immigration detention and removal centers in Denmark and Sweden, the seminar explores how state efforts to control and remove rejected asylum-seekers are translated into practice.

Föreläsare: Annika Lindberg, PhD Candidate at the Institute of Sociology, University of Bern.
